The Bishops Lodge is an integral part of the history of Santa Fe, nestled within the foothills of the Sangre de Cristo Mountains and bordered by the National Forest. Situated on 400 acres, this is Santa Fe's only full and complete resort. The personal retreat of Bishop Lamy, New Mexico's first Arch Bishop (circa 1851), the Bishops Lodge was also the summer home of the Pulitzer family and three generations of the Thorpe Family. The tradition of hospitality has evolved the Lodge into a world class resort, manged by Interstate Resorts and Hotels. Guests will enjoy miles of hiking and nature trails with over 500 species birds, horseback riding, skeet and trap shooting, swimming, sunbathing, or a complete workout in the fitness center.
